HWI was approached by their customer with a problem in their psychiatric isolation rooms. They were told by the state board that the room was to be shut down due to the unsanitary conditions of the room. The room was comprised of drywall and wood paneling. Patients had been urinating in the room [and no matter the amount of cleaning] the room could not eliminate the issue: microbes were multiplying in the porous material creating the unsanitary conditions.
HWI eliminated this issue quickly and perfectly. Removing the paneling and tainted flooring was the first step. Next, the room was sprayed with the Bio-GardTM Neutral Quat 64-One Step Germicidal Disinfectant. Finally, the walls were replaced with HWI's Bio-GardTM wall laminate which was heat welded for a homogenous, non-porous environment.
Upon the State Inspectors return, the psychiatric isolation room passed occupancy.
