Aviation / Aerospace
This aviation processing and Cleanroom facility is a 400+ square foot modular unit built entirely inside the manufacturing warehouse building, designed to clean and inspect commercial and military aircraft oxygen tubes for the aerospace industry.
This facility consists of a non-ISO rated processing cleanout room with hot water and cleaner solution tanks, which is vigorously exhaust-vented, and a slider window to pass the prepared oxygen lines into the adjacent ISO Class 8, [Class 100,000] clean room, where they are dried, tested and prepared for shipping back to aircraft companies for reinstallation. Personnel enter the Clean Room via a 6'x6' Gowning room, designed to conform to ISO 8.
The Clean Room facility is a modular structure and has 4-foot wide modular sections of FRP-skinned, closed-cell, 3 '' polystyrene foam, interconnected by anodized aluminum support studs, which serve the dual purpose of support and providing channels for electrical power and data wiring.
The ceiling inside of the unit is comprised of suspension grid, which contains the Ducted HEPA filters, lighting and clean-room ceiling tiles. Above the ceiling exists a corrugated roof, which supports the Air Handler Unit and Exhaust fan. Penetrations through this deck allow the air supply, distribution and exhaust.
This unit was designed to ISO 8 standards, and particulate analysis certification proved operation at ISO 6, class 1000, with the gowning room proving at ISO 7, class 10,000.
